1. Name of photographer –Daryl Peveto
General focus of portfolio (photoj, sports, stories, etc.)-a mix of sports and stories with some commercial photos at the end
List three problems that the judges note with the portfolio – captions were bad, just said next and no a lot.
List two things the judges like-good balance of colors, good focus
What is your overall impression? What did you like or not like? Really nice black and white photos, with good contrast, their sports photos were not fantastic, and didn’t really show much emotion
2. What did the judges note as strengths as they were critiquing it? How he is right in the action
What do you see as strengths? Do you see any weaknesses? great lines and angles, and emotion, some were a bit too photo shopped for me.
3. Briefly describe the process the judges went through in deciding the winner. They went through all the portfolios and commented them as a whole, complimenting good photos and completely bashing the bad ones, yet looked as an overall portfolio.
Part 2
1.we both agreed that the portrait of the cheerleaders on the pool table was ridiculous and unnecesary. It was strange and odd and didn't fit together.
2.I disagree with the comment about the picture of the tennis player with his arms up. The racket that was flying in front that crossed over his arm was completely distracting to me and although they really liked it i couldn't get over the racket and it ruined the picture for me.
